Sexual Misconduct Prevention Education

淫妻社 Title IX Office provides Sexual Misconduct Education Prevention through events and awareness campaigns to address the role that everyone can take in creating a sexual misconduct free and sex discrimination free 淫妻社.

January is Stalking Awareness Month, April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Click here for awareness month events and other events happening throughout the year.

WHAT IS TITLE IX

淫妻社 is committed to providing a workplace and educational environment, as well as other benefits, programs, and activities that are free from sex discrimination, sexual harassment (including actual or attempted sexual assault; domestic violence; dating violence; and stalking) and retaliation. The University is also committed to ensuring compliance with federal and state civil rights laws and regulations, and to affirm its commitment to promoting the goals of fairness and equity in all aspects of the educational program or activity. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (鈥淭itle IX鈥) is a federal law that prohibits sex discrimination.听

The University encourages the reporting of sex discrimination, sexual harassment (including听actual or attempted sexual assault; domestic violence; dating violence; and stalking), or retaliation that may occur in its programs or activities, to ensure that the University has an opportunity to address prohibited conduct. Reports may be made by听or by contacting the Title IX Coordinator, Michelle McDevitt. University employees are mandated reporters (refer to Title IX Policy for exceptions) for Title IX. As a university employee, if an incident is reported to you, you are required to share the information you have with the Title IX Office. This enables the Title IX Office to follow up with the parties involved to ensure all rights are protected by Title IX.
