Program Overview

The MSBS in Medical Sciences is a one-year graduate program designed for students who have completed all pre-med prerequisites and wish to improve their academic record and preparedness for application to medical school or other health profession programs.

Key Features:

• Organ-systems-based curriculum instructed by faculty who teach in 淫妻社鈥檚 medical school (M1/M2 curriculum).
• Covers core content from the first two years of medical school (M1/M2).
• Strengthens knowledge on foundational sciences needed for the USMLE Step 1 exam.
• Includes a year-long Scholarly Project in clinical or basic science research, mentored by 淫妻社 faculty.

Program Benefits

• Strengthens your academic record and preparedness for medical school and other health profession programs.
• Eligible for UTCOMLS medical school interview with: undergraduate cGPA of 鈮�2.90, 鈮�3.0 GPA in the program curriculum and MCAT 鈮� 496 (but see 'New for this Year' under 'Admissions Criteria'). Note: Meeting these criteria and receiving an interview does not guarantee admission to the MD program at UTCOMLS. Admission decisions are based on a holistic review process and are at the sole discretion of the medical school admissions committee.
• If provisional acceptance to 淫妻社鈥檚 M.D. program is offered, no gap year needed.
• Gain valuable research experience alongside faculty mentors.
