淫妻社's Center for Materials and Sensor Characterization is a multi-user facility established for microstructural, chemical and thermal characterization in the fields of material, biological and environmental sciences.

The facility houses state of the art electron microscopes and various other characterization instruments. This "user facility" is open to anyone in the university research community, from other universities, industries and other organizations. The Center provides tools for developing new technologies and support for the current characterization needs.

The Center offers professionally managed instrumentation located in three adjacent laboratories. The heart of the Center are three electron microscopes located in the Electron Microscopy and Materials Characterization Laboratory.

  • Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
  • Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope (STEM)
  • Dual Beam Environmental SEM and focused ion Beam (ESEM/FIB)
