BACC2MD is ÒùÆÞÉç's early medical school pathway, offered to high-metric high school students, providing them the opportunity for an early interview with ÒùÆÞÉç College of Medicine and Life Sciences M.D. following their junior year at ÒùÆÞÉç.

BACC2MD Pathway Admission Requirements for High School Students

ÒùÆÞÉç offers the BACC2MD for any incoming direct from high school students who have:

  • at least a 3.8 unweighted HS GPA and 30 ACT or 1410 SAT, super scores not accepted.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status in the U.S (permanent residency "green" card). If applying as a permanent resident, an applicant mustÌýhaveÌýpermanent resident statusÌýat the time the undergraduateÌýapplication is submittedÌýand will be required to submit a photocopy of the front and back of their permanent residency card.

BACC2MD Program Requirements for Students in the Program

Eligibility requirements for BACC2MD students to apply to ÒùÆÞÉç College of Medicine and Life Sciences M.D. Program

  • Cumulative Undergraduate ÒùÆÞÉç GPA: 3.7 or higherÌý
  • MCAT Score: 506 or higherÌý
  • Letters of Recommendation: at least 3 requiredÌý
  • Citizenship: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Permanent residents must provide a copy (front and back) of their green card at the time of M.D. Program application.Ìý
  • Transcripts: Final official transcripts from all undergraduate, graduate and professional institutions attended must be submitted, with degrees posted if applicable.Ìý
  • Criminal Records Check: a successful review is required.Ìý
  • Technical Standards: ApplicantsÌýmust meet the Minimal Technical Standards for Admissions for admission.Ìý

  • One year of Biological Sciences
  • One year of Organic Chemistry with labs
  • One year of Physics
  • One semester of Biochemistry

Highly Recommended Courses:

  • Anatomy

  • PhysiologyÌý
  • Psychology

Applicants are encouraged to pursue a broad undergraduate education, including coursework in Humanities and Social Sciences.

BACC2MD Application Timeline - Junior Year of College, Spring Semester

Step 1: Initial Contact

  • By Jan. 30: Candidates with Junior academic standing should email the M.D. Admissions office with the subject line:Ìý"BACC2MD Candidate – ÒùÆÞÉç Medical School."

The email must include:

    • Full Name
    • Rocket Number
    • Unofficial ÒùÆÞÉç transcript confirming eligibility

Step 2: MCAT Requirement

  • By April 30: Candidates must take the MCAT during their Junior year of their undergraduate program (latest acceptable test date: April 30 of application year).
  • Minimum Score:Ìý506 required for interview consideration.

Step 3: Early Assurance Application

  • Feb. 1–May 15: The application opens on Feb. 1 and closes on May 15.
  • Application Process: on the application website (account creation available starting Feb. 1).

Please note, that you will not be able to create an account within the site until the application open date of Feb. 1.

Step 4: Supplemental Materials Deadline

  • By May 30:ÌýSubmit all required materials, including:
    • MCAT scores
    • Letters of recommendation
    • Transcripts

Step 5: Interview Process

  • ´³³Ü²Ô±ð–J³Ü±ô²â:ÌýInterviews conducted via Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) format using a web-based platform.
  • Interview Invitations:ÌýSent via email and application portal.

Step 6: Admissions Decision

  • ´¡³Ü²µ³Ü²õ³Ù–O³¦³Ù´Ç²ú±ð°ù: M.D. Program Admissions Committee reviews interviewed applicants.
  • Decisions:ÌýAccept or reject notifications sent.
  • Conditional Offers: Released in early fall, contingent upon:
    • Completion of all matriculation requirements
    • No criminal or institutional code of conduct violations
  • Accepted students must enroll in medical school the following year.ÌýFailure to enroll results in withdrawal of the admission offer.

Step 7: ÌýFinal Application Submission (Only Required for Conditionally Accepted Candidates in the BACC2MD Pathway)

  • By Nov. 15: Submit an AMCAS application to ÒùÆÞÉç College of Medicine and Life Sciences as a regular applicant.
  • By Dec. 15:ÌýComplete the Secondary Application.
  • Starting Oct. 15: Official admissions offers released via AMCAS to accepted BACC2MD applicants.

For BACC2MD Applicants Not Invited for an Interview

Those not invited for an interview or not accepted may reapply through the regular M.D. Program application cycle. Former BACC2MD applicants, especially those who reached the interview stage, remain competitive candidates in future cycles.
