If you are planning to pursue professional licensure or certification in a state other than Ohio, please contact the program director/advisor to discuss if you will need to satisfy additional requirements to practice in that state prior to beginning the academic program. Separate from educational requirements, state licensure boards may require applicants to complete professional examinations, background checks, fingerprinting, years of professional experience, jurisprudence exams, etc.听Consult with the program director/advisor for the most current information on educational and non-educational requirements.
Authorization may also be required from the聽state professional licensing board prior to beginning a clinical or field experience in that state.听Check with your program's聽internship or clinical coordinator with questions about state professional licensing聽board requirements prior to beginning an internship or field experience in another state.听

A student needs to contact the program director聽to discuss authorization and licensure eligibility requirements,聽prior to relocating during the course of a program to another state, as it may impact the student鈥檚 ability to remain in the program, meet the state licensure requirements, and/or continue to receive financial aid funding.听
