3D Printing

The Makerspace Clean Room offers access to multiple 3D printers for both academic and personal projects. To streamline the process, all print requests are submitted through our online form and picked up at the Makerspace.聽

How to Submit a Print Job聽

  1. Prepare your model in a 3D design program (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Blender, TinkerCAD, etc.).
  2. Export the file in an accepted format (.STL or .OBJ).
  3. Complete the 3D Print Request Form (embedded below).
  4. Attach your file and provide details such as material type, color preference, and estimated dimensions.
  5. Submit the form to the Makerspace email.

Accepted File Formats聽

  • .STL (preferred)
  • .OBJ

Material Types and Options聽

  • PLA (standard, multiple colors available)聽
  • ABS (limited colors)聽
  • PETG (stronger, more heat-resistant)聽
  • TPU (flexible filament, available on request)聽

Estimated Wait Times

  • Small prints (less than 3 hours): 1鈥2 business days
  • Medium prints (3鈥10 hours): 2鈥4 business days
  • Large/complex prints (10+ hours): 4鈥7 business days
  • Times may vary depending on demand.

Pickup Instructions

Completed prints can be picked up during Makerspace open hours at the Clean Room front desk. You will receive an email notification when your print is ready.

Cost and Eligibility聽

  • Class Projects: Free of charge聽
  • Small Personal Prints: Free of charge聽
  • Large Personal Prints: May incur a small fee based on weight (charged per gram of filament used)聽

  • Resin (MSLA) printer with ultra-high resolution
  • Ideal for small, detailed models, miniatures, and precision parts

Creality K1 Max

  • Large-format FDM printer with high-speed coreXY design
  • Great for bigger projects requiring strength and scale

Creality CR-30 (鈥淭he Belt Printer鈥)

  • Continuous belt-driven FDM printer
  • Designed for printing extra-long parts or batch-producing small items
