Vehicle Maintenance
Vehicle Maintenance Services are no longer provided by the university.听 Below is a
list of motor vehicle service and repair shops available to do business with for departments
that own or lease a university vehicle. This list of preferred vendors must be used to schedule, drop-off, pick up, and pay for vehicle services.听
Services include:
- Preventative Maintenance Repairs (Required)
- Corrective Repairs
- Emergency Road Service
Per university insurance guidelines, a vehicle inspection听needs to be completed once every 12 months. Preventative maintenance (PM鈥檚) must take place either once the vehicle has reached 6000 miles of usage OR every 6 months (depending on use of vehicle this may vary, however PM鈥檚 are required for every university vehicle). Preventative maintenance includes lube, filter, and oil change.
The annual vehicle inspection can be performed during one of the preventative maintenance repairs. 听The university requires documentation from the vendor of their checklist of inspection. The vendor will supply you with either an electronic or paper copy of the completed checklist. Please email the documentation to mvoservices@utoledo.edu听
The goal is to have the university fleet remain safe, reliable and ensure dependability in fleet repairs, both in cost and quality.
