Doing Right Spotlight 2026

The Doing Right Spotlight, supported by the Robert and Donna Martin Family, recognizes businesses that understand success is about more than the bottom line. These companies lead with purpose, investing in their employees, supporting their communities, and creating meaningful impact through the way they do business every day. Each year, we celebrate organizations that demonstrate integrity, generosity, and a commitment to making a difference beyond the workplace.

In 2026, we are proud to recognize City Apparel + Merch, DMC Technology Group, and Hart, three companies that exemplify what it means to lead with purpose. Through their community involvement, people-first cultures, and dedication to serving others, they are helping strengthen the region and positively impact the lives of those around them.

Watch their stories below and be inspired by the many ways they are doing right in our community.

DMC Technology Group

DMC was founded in 1993 and is based in Toledo, Ohio. The company鈥檚 team of 28 professionals provides Information Technology (IT) solutions including cloud services, infrastructure and cybersecurity products, application development, and fully managed IT services for organizations across the region.

Giving back is an important part of DMC鈥檚 mission. A key element of the company鈥檚 mission statement is 鈥渢o give back to the local community in gratitude for the blessings received.鈥 This commitment is rooted in a core belief that the good things in life are gifts from God, and that those blessings carry a responsibility to be shared with others.

DMC lives out this mission through its 鈥淒MC Gives Back鈥 initiative, which encourages generosity, volunteerism, and community engagement among its employees.

The program includes:
鈥 A multi-match gift when an employee donates at least 1% of their annual earnings to a local 501(c)(3) organization
鈥 Paid time off for employees to volunteer in the community
鈥 Group service activities for employees and their families

Recent efforts include partnering with Let鈥檚 Build to assemble 30 beds for children in need and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity on a local home build.

DMC鈥檚 goal is to inspire employees to make giving a meaningful part of their lives and to spread a spirit of gratitude throughout the community.

Hart

Hart is a full-service, independent brand transformation agency. Established in 1965 and headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, with offices in Columbus, Detroit and Washington, D.C., Hart partners with B2C and B2B brands across industries to unlock clarity, amplify purpose and create momentum.

Guided by its promise of Every Day Greater鈩, Hart believes every brand 鈥 and the agency itself 鈥 has the power and responsibility to positively influence behavior, improve quality of life and strengthen the communities it serves. This philosophy shapes the agency鈥檚 work with healthcare, education and mission-driven organizations, where Hart helps advance public health, encourage responsible decision-making and inspire positive action.

That same commitment is reflected in the way Hart engages with the places and people it serves. The agency works closely with nonprofit and mission-driven organizations like Cherry Street Mission, investing time, talent and care beyond the scope of a typical client relationship. Hart employees regularly support local initiatives through volunteerism, event participation and hands-on engagement, including efforts alongside Nationwide Children鈥檚 Hospital at The Memorial Tournament.

Through paid volunteer time off, employees also support causes they care about 鈥 including food banks, schools, youth sports and charities 鈥 reflecting Hart鈥檚 ongoing commitment to strengthening the communities it serves.
