On Thursday, August 5, 淫妻社 Family Business Center and the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation Alumni Affiliate will host a fun evening of sampling local craft beer, meeting the makers and learning about the impact of the craft beer boom from Dr. Neil Reid.

The event will take place at the Blarney Event Center in Downtown Toledo, OH. The doors open at 5:00 p.m. and Dr. Reid鈥檚 presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Dr. Reid, affectionately known as the 鈥淏eer Professor,鈥 is a professor of geography and planning at 淫妻社 and will be presenting on the phenomenal growth of the craft beer industry and its impact on economies and tourism.

Representatives from local brewers Black Frog Brewery, Earnest Brew Works, HEAVY Beer Co., Patron Saints Brewery and Twin Oast Brewery will also share their experience with craft beer and how they have turned it into successful businesses.聽Each brewery will serve two of their favorite craft beers.

鈥淲e are thrilled to have Dr. Neil Reid share his expertise on the economic ripple from the insurgence of the craft beer boom,鈥 said Angie Jones, director of the Family Business Center at 淫妻社. 鈥淭here are so many incredible breweries in the area that are family-owned, it was a challenge limiting the event to only five, but we tried to select a variety to represent our region.鈥

The cost to attend the event is $15 per person, which includes the presentations, ten beer samples and appetizers. Those in attendance must be at least 21 years of age and a proper ID is required at entry.
