Green Security
ÒùÆÞÉç Medical Center utilizes Green Security as it’s online credentialing and badging solution for suppliers who frequent patient care areas when visiting the medical center.ÌýÌý
The system allows suppliers to upload current vaccinations and attest to reading our policies of importance which include information as established by AORN, CMS, the Joint Commission as well as UTMC’s departments of surgery, risk management, safety and health, infection control and supply chain. ÌýThe badges are thermal sensitive and will expire after 24 hours.ÌýÌý Check in and wearing of this badge must occurÌýeach time upon entryÌýto the hospital or clinics.Ìý
There are 4 self-service badging kiosks located at the:
- Entrance corridor of the George Isaac Minimally Invasive Clinic
- Entrance to the Medical Pavilion
- Operating Room main desk on the 2ndÌýfloor of the hospital
- Sterile Processing - Basement of hospital
Suppliers who enter a department without checking in and displaying proper ID will be asked to return to a designated area to check in.ÌýÌý Suppliers who are non-compliant with documentation or acknowledgment of policies will receive two (2) warnings when their temporary badge is created.ÌýÌý On the third visitation attempt, the system will preclude a badge from being printed and access to clinical areas will be denied.
Suppliers who are granted UT issued identification badges (those vendors who frequent procedural areas) are still required to check in at a Green Security kiosk upon arrival to campus and display the printed badge.
